And then there's the other types of pottery and china.....
So, I call myself the child of midwinter, partly because of my love of midwinter pottery and because I'm born on Winter Solstice. As you'll soon realise,I don't just love midwinter pottery! You could even call me a pottery obsessive, but that would be just silly! Anyway, some of my other pottery love interests include Beswick, Nymolle, and Kelsboro Ware to name but a few. I have recently found some real gems that I'm not sure I can part with here is one of them. This is a Beswick wall vase, I'm not yet sure of the date or the designer but I'll update the blog when I find out more information.

Pop-up vintage tea party
Hello chums,
As promised, here are the details of the pop-up vintage tea party event that's happening this Saturday. I will be trying out some new recipes and some old favourites including some vegan and gluten free creations. There will be a range of teas and coffee available and for those who want something stronger the staff downstairs will be happy to accommodate you! It really is a lovely old pub that has recently reopened so do try and pop along for a saturday treat. hope to see you all very soon x
Foley
I so adore this Foley design, it's called Domino Fountain, designed by Hazel Thuumpston in the mid 1950's. It's really beautifully crafted and is made of bone china. I have been collecting it for a while but it's pretty hard to come by. And it seems to have really gone up in price over the past 3 years, perhaps I'm sitting on a gold mine!

The beautiful Cherokee
This has to be one of my favourite midwinter designs, it's uber scarce and it seems to have taken me an age to acquire what I consider to be a poultry amount. Anyway here's a pretty little tea pot.

if only this was mine......
OMG, I want this so much but i missed my window of opportunity, grr indeed! To the best of my knowledge a Burslem piece and I'm pretty sure it was designed by the deletable Ms Jessie Tait. If anyone knows more please feel free to correct me whist I cry (because its not mine!)
